Who won? Monkey or Photographer?

The US Copyright Office recently updated its regulations to prevent the registration of works produced by plants, animals and divine or supernatural beings. The update was prompted by a dispute between photographer David Slater and the Wikimedia Foundation, after an ungovernable monkey hijacked Slater’s camera and took a selfie. Wikimedia claimed the copyright belonged to the monkey, whilst the US Copyright Office eventually sided with Slater.
